I Won’t Remember What It’s Like To Be Young Again.
Want to see what a birthday is like for a full-time father and worker then look no further.
5:30 – Wake up. Kiara has swim meet at 7 so Stefanie set the alarm for 5:15 and got up so I’m awake now.
6:45 – Scheduled to work at 7 but there’s nothing to do at home so might as well work. Oh joy. Larry, the Saturday regular is waiting for me. Think I’ll keep the doors locked until 7 just to avoid him a little longer.
9:15 – Treating my self to a glorious Burger King breakfast. Sold a grill for $10 at a garage sale yesterday so I’m splurging on myself. Damn, their iced mocha’s are good.
10:24 – Took a birthday dump. It wasn’t very good to me.
2:00 – Was just staring at a guy’s horrible tattoo on his leg. It was of a stick figure that looked like the Tin Man with puppet strings. Then I realized it was a fake leg and it was just sharpie drawn on it.
4:15 – Finally off work and home. Greeted to presents from wife and kid. T-shirt I’ve wanted for a while, House Blu-Ray, and chocolate goodness.
5:30 – Birthday nap. Not much different than normal day nap.
7 – Birthday dinner: china buffet. Its what kiara picked and she didn’t eat any. Not very good.
8:45 – Watched Criterion’s House. What a bizarre film. I don’t know how anyone could ever explain it to anyone. I mean a piano eats a Japanese chick!
10:15 – Washed baby bottles.
11 – Stefanie went to work. Back to being bored by myself again.
Worked on this new theme for the blog until almost midnight then got in bed because it was storming. 15 minutes later Kiara joins me scared.
And that is the birthday of a father who works full time. If you would like to have the pleasure of this type of birthday just have a couple kids and then rack up some bills.
