We had a Halloween party and had some friends over for a good time. Who would have thought a game called spoons could be fun. Still making my way through the criterion blu-rays. Cross Howard’s End, Playtime, and Pierrot Le Fou off the list. Still got quite a few to watch but I’m getting there…
I think something that I wrote will actually be produced! An idea that I’ve had in my head for years and I just mentioned to it someone one day and they said, “write it.” So I did and then I re-wrote it and then they touched it up and I haven’t heard any final say so or anything but it looks promising. It’s just a short but it’s really the only dramatic writing I’ve ever did so it’s kind of a big deal to me. Fingers crossed.
So we bought a new camera with the wedding money so I should have plenty more pictures for you to not care to look at. Still waiting on the wedding pictures to get back. Should have a pretty big update when they do get here.

First blog since becoming a married man. Wow, that is a crazy line to write and one that I wasn’t ever even sure I would write but I can honestly say that I have no doubts about the decisions I have made in the last five months or so. I don’t know how many people can say that they met someone who totally changed their life and made them see things that they never thought they would see, but I did, and honestly I hope everyone in the world can meet and have the same feelings happen to them that have happened to me. It’s the best feeling in the world knowing that I never have to worry about being alone again and that the person I have next to me feels the exact same way about me as I do her.
The wedding was a great experience but I’m so happy it’s all over now. It’s such a stressful thing to have to go through but when the day actually arrives you realize that half the shit you were so worried about didn’t matter at all because you don’t have time to worry. I was so busy the days leading up that I didn’t have time to be nervous or think twice about it, which I wouldn’t have done anyway but still it was such a blur of a day and such a great great day. The service was super small with just friends and family and seriously, everyone that dressed up made it such a blast. It’s so much easier to be married when all the people staring at you are dressed in costumes and look even sillier than you feel standing in front of them. We told the preacher to cut out all the bs and I think it took like 5 minutes for the actual ceremony and that was it. We greeted everybody and then proceeded to the reception. And oh yes, our photographer was pretty much the greatest thing ever. She was just like a director with how she wanted us to be positioned. If she wanted us to lay a certain way, she would lay a certain way to show us. A total pro. Below are a couple snaps she took that prove just how amazing she is! I hope I’m not supposed to get a clearance or anything before I post them, if so, Britt, I’m sorry but seriously, don’t be mad that I’m showing off your awesome work!
The reception was a blur just like the rest of the day. Lots of fun, dancing, talking, laughing, and realizing how great it is to have friends and family who care enough to spend the evening with you. Pretty awesome. Adam gave a good speech about how to live with me. Which was mostly all untrue… btw, if you’re reading this Adam, I want that piece of paper you wrote it on for the scrapbook that I will be putting together in the coming years. Adam caught the garter, some girl I don’t really know caught the bouquet and we shoved cake in each others face even though Stefanie said not to, she did it to me first so I had to do it back… right?
My parents did an amazing job decorating everything and making it halloweeny and it really was just a pretty, pretty, pretty, good night. Again, thanks everyone who came out or sent well wishes or helped out in anyway. You are all super great and Stefanie, I love you.
PDF people: Maybe I will be around more often, maybe I won’t. I’m still working on editing the first podcast of our second run of them so yeah, maybe you will be able to listen to it by next year sometime. :)

Recorded the first podcast in over 3 months last night. I have to say I think it went pretty well. We did a couple scripts first and then had a call-in guest for the 3rd one. We seemed to riff with each other well, but then again, I might go to edit it all and realize it’s complete shit and I shouldn’t have drank as much before we began. Look for a new podcast episode in the next couple weeks though. I’m not going to put a time frame on them anymore. I learned that when you try to do something like that every week that the quality really starts to suffer. So from now, there will only be new podcast episodes as I have the time to record/edit/upload them. Which of course will only happen when I have time to sit and read scripts as well.
Two weeks until the big day. Can’t say that I am not super fucking excited about it. Got some engagement pictures taken and I think they are pretty awesome. No nervousness yet, wonder when that is going to kick in. Maybe this will prove that I’m not as laid back as I think I am…

Wedding plans moving along smoothly. Invites sent out. Dress and tux ordered. Still gotta do the cake and flowers but shouldn’t be a problem. Got the coolest photographer in the world locked down to shoot it. Yay! Super excited. This Halloween themed wedding is either going to be extremely fun or just an epic fail. We will know soon enough. Also, my cars compressor sucks which couldn’t have came at a worse time so thanks for that Ford. And I had just bought stuff to change it’s oil, I thought we were getting along oh so well…
Been trying to make it through the stack of Criterion blu-rays as of late. Have been buying them since they came out but I rarely have time to watch them but since I’ve put PDFSP lower on my priority list I’m actually getting shit done! Sorry PDFers, but you’re in good hands. BTW, check out mypdfscripts.com It’s actually probably the prettiest script site on the planet. Anyway, I am not cool or pretentious enough to enjoy Last Year at Marienbad but Chungking Express, El Norte, and Wages of Fear are all excellent and worth buying!
I’ll leave you with a pic of me trying on tux’s.
